From May 19 through June 30, 2025, the City of Las Vegas is once again offering its “School Supplies for Tickets” program.

Got a parking ticket in Las Vegas this summer? You might be able to turn that fine into an opportunity to support local students.

From May 19 through June 30, 2025, the City of Las Vegas is once again offering its “School Supplies for Tickets” program. If you’ve received a qualifying parking citation during this period, you can resolve your fine by donating new, unwrapped school supplies of equal or greater value—making a meaningful contribution to education while clearing your record.

How It Works

To participate, bring your school supply donation, along with your citation and purchase receipt, to the Parking Services Office within 30 days of the ticket issue date:

City of Las Vegas Parking Services
350 S. City Parkway
Las Vegas, NV 89106

You may also purchase supplies online and ship them directly to the office. Be sure to include your citation number in the delivery notes, and include a receipt to verify the donation value.

What’s Accepted?

Here’s a list of commonly requested school supplies:

  • Pencils, pens, erasers, and highlighters
  • Dry erase markers and index cards
  • Paper towels and disinfecting wipes
  • Loose-leaf paper and copy paper
  • Post-it notes and card stock
  • Scissors, rulers, and pencil sharpeners
  • Educational games and books for grades K–12
  • Storage bins and binders

All donations collected through the program will go to the Public Education Foundation, a local nonprofit that supports students and teachers in Clark County.

Which Tickets Qualify?

Only non-public safety violations are eligible. Examples include:

  • Parking too far from the curb
  • Blocking alleys or driveways
  • Parking in no-parking zones
  • Overstaying time limits

Excluded violations include fire lane infractions, handicap zone violations, and other public safety-related tickets.

Why It Matters

This initiative is more than just a clever way to settle fines—it directly benefits classrooms across the valley, providing essential supplies that teachers often buy out of pocket. For locals looking to support the next generation while resolving a minor infraction, it’s a win-win.
